In this week’s PrayerCast, Freddy Perez shares some thoughts about fear and anxiety, and how we can trust Biblical promises to help us and protect us.

Our world is filled with events and situations that can cause great fear and anxiety.

It’s easy to become overwhelmed and live imprisoned by fear.

We are promised in God’s Word that he is faithful and will protect us (2Thesalonians 3:3) so that no one would be unsettled by these trials. You know quite well that we were destined for them.

God wants us to let go of fear and to live life to the fullest! (John 10:10) The thief comes only no to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

When you are overcome by worry, use these prayers for protection to remember who God is and the protection he has promised you.

Let’s pray:

Father, I come to you today, bowing in my hearth, asking for protection from evil one.

Lord we are assailed moment by moment with images on television, the internet, books and newspapers that leave us vulnerable to sin of every kind.

Surround us with your divine hedge of protection. Encompass us roundabout with your strength and you might.

But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. (12) For surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with you favor as with a shield. (Psalm.5:11-12)

In Jesus name, we pray: Amen.
