Hi Good News family!
Here’s the latest Chapel news…
> LEAD PASTOR SEARCH DECISION! Praise God! The LPSC met last night, and after prayer and discussion of everyone’s thoughts, they quickly reached a unified decision — a decision that aligned exactly with the consensus input from the 196 Evaluation Forms submitted last Sunday for the three final candidates! After considering 48 applications, rounds of video interviews, reference checks, background checks, the three on-site visits here, and much discussion, the SC agreed to offer the position to the top candidate – they are waiting for his reply before announcing the result.
Please continue to pray as decisions and plans are being made. The terms of the offer — salary, benefits, etc. — have been passed on to the candidate, as well as a suggested starting date, again awaiting his reply before announcing the result.
A huge Thank You to all who participated in the sermon Evaluations, to the Search Committee team who participated in many hours of meetings plus considerable outside responsibilities, and to all who have been faithfully praying during this many-months-long process.
The next meeting of the LPSC is this Sunday, Oct 6, at 6:30 pm to review the candidate’s response and plan the onboarding and transition. All are invited to the meetings of the LPSC.

1 CORINTHIANS 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
Only by grace,
