About Our Men’s Ministry…
The goal of Men’s Ministries at GNBC is to lead men to faith and maturity in Christ. To accomplish this we seek to lead men to love the Lord their God will their heart, soul, mind, and strength (Matthew 22:37) and provide opportunities for men to build strong relationships with other men inside and outside the church. As brothers in Christ, we aim to come alongside one another to encourage and sharpen each other for God’s glory
“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; act like men; be strong. Do everything in love.” – 1 Corinthians 16:13, 14
Monthly Men’s Breakfast
Join us at the Chapel from 8:00-10:00 am on the 2nd Saturday of every month for breakfast followed by a group study/discussion by men for men. Don’t miss a great chance to get to know brothers at GNBC, and get some solid biblical coaching as a man, husband, father, son, brother, and follower of Christ.
Man Camp @ Camp Berea, NH
:: Nov 5-7, 2021 – Week 1
:: Nov 12-14, 2021 – Week 2
Men at GNBC participate each November in Man Camp — an annual weekend men’s retreat — at Camp Berea on Newfound Lake at the foot of the White Mountains in Hebron, NH. Great speakers, worship led by Spirit-led men of God, a choice of workshops and intensives, challenging morning devos, an opportunity to get to know other guys — plus man-size buffets at every meal, paintball, flag-football, and bocce tournaments, kayaking and fishing, two rock walls plus the high-ropes/tall-pole course, hiking, riflery (use theirs, or bring your own), hatchet throwing and archery — and plenty of time to get alone with God. Berea is a place God uses to push men to a higher level of friendship, and a closer spiritual walk.
Marked Men for Christ
Men at GNBC are encouraged to attend a MMFC 44-hour spiritual experience offered bi-annually to help men confront their wounds and weaknesses, find forgiveness and healing through the cross of Jesus, and build strong relationships with brothers who have had the same experience.
Each weekend-long (Phase 1 experience) is followed up a month later with a day-long Phase 2 debrief that reinforces the work done in Phase 1. And then men are invited to participate in a bi-weekly Phase 3 “Soul Group,” a small group of men who have gone through the same life-changing experience, and work together for further spiritual growth, accountability, and encouragement.
Life Groups
Men at GNBC are encouraged to be part of a mid-week Life Group — small groups of 10-20 that meet in homes in the greater Attleboro area. That’s where you will study the bible together, pray together, and build strong friendships for accountability and joint mission. The 20+ different Life Groups at the Chapel are the key forum for plugging in, belonging, growing, and serving.
CELEBRATE RECOVERY
“If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” – John 8:36
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered 12-Step Recovery Program based on 8 Recovery Principles derived from the Beatitudes — a 12-Step program where our Higher Power is Jesus Christ. This opportunity is for anyone and everyone with any hurt, habit, or hang-up that has been an obstacle to discovering the abundant life that has been promised to us in Jesus Christ.
CR meets every Monday evening from 6:30-8:30 PM at GOOD NEWS BIBLE CHAPEL, 235 West Street, in Attleboro. For more information call 508.226.2916 or send an email to info@gnbc.org.
