Missions at Good News…
“We must be global Christians with a global vision because our God is a global God.” – John R. W. Stott
Missions efforts are a step of obedience to Jesus’ final command “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19,20).
The goal is that every nation (people group) will hear the good news of redemption through Jesus Christ so that one day “…at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:10,11).
One day also our work will be complete and all nations will have heard the good news and a new song will be sung in heaven: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation” (Revelation 5:9).
The current list of supported partners represents a strategic effort to support the work of God in the world. GNBC seeks to offer not merely financial support but sincere prayer and moral support that true biblical mission requires.
The Global Reach effort at GNBC is led by Sandy Emory, Jim Bruce, Julie Fabbo, Janet Kago, Craig Fabbo and Mike Tierney.
“Missions is not the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is. Missions exists because worship doesn’t.” – John Piper
